WOW! I cannot believe that we are now just weeks away from the greatest music event in North Texas to take place. NX35 is the enormous music conferette taking place right here in Denton next month. The weekend before South By Southwest, this music community gets a chance to flex it's muscles with what is quickly becoming one of the most talked about music fests in the South.

This week we would like to take another look at some of the bands that you should be most excited to see during this mammoth event.

Fergus and Geronimo
This was one of the most talked about new bands of last year and for good reason. After releasing just a few tracks on their MySpace page, record labels began courting this duo within days. Thankfully, they have been added to the bill for NX35 and you are going to want to check them out!

Oso Closo
Well, if you are a regular visitor to this site, than you know all about our love for this band. Oso Closo is a Denton staple and it is a very good thing that they too have been announced as a late addition to NX35. Last year they released "Today is Beauty's Birthday" to some VERY positive reviews. They are a paradigm of what a good hard working and talented band should be.

Spooky Folk
I love me some Spooky Folk. If you are into shilled out indie folkish songs, this is a band you will want to search for during NX35. Wonderful stuff, is their track, "I'm A Ghost" my personal favorite in their collection. Give it a listen and enjoy one of the more underrated bands in North Texas.

Neon Indian
Oh Yes! This one might be my favorite of the newest additions to the already impressive lineup of NX35. Check out This Wonderful Interview from a few weeks ago and get to know one of the hottest new acts in the ultra cool underground music scene.
